Plastic Surgery training took him to the Welsh Regional Unit, Cambridge and completion training in Scotland. A fellowship to Slovenia rounded off training with advanced techniques in breast surgery.
He has been a consultant in Edinburgh since 2003 and provides complex reconstruction to patients with injuries from trauma, defects from cancer resection, hand surgery, skin cancer surgery, and body contouring surgery following massive weight loss.
In the private sector, he specialises in all aspects of cosmetic surgery including surgery for the aging face, rhinoplasty, all aspects of breast surgery, and body contouring. He also supplies a comprehensive non-surgical service using Botox, ?llers, lasers, and chemical peels.
He is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS), and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, and routinely speaks at national and international meetings on reconstruction. He has a keen interest in training surgeons of the future in this craft specialty, supporting The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in this regard.
Outside medicine he enjoys outdoor pursuits with a passion for off-piste skiing and fresh air. He is married with two beautiful girls.
