The primary goal of aesthetic plastic surgery is your happiness. We know that changing parts of your appearance can be helpful. However, we also appreciate the complex psychological interactions between appearance and the mind.
We are proud to have Carol Sutherland, registered clinical psychologist, as part of our team. Carol has much experience in general clinical psychology and plastic surgery in particular. You may wish to see Carol before surgery for reassurance that your motives and expectations are reasonable.
On other occasions, your surgeon may ask if you would like to see Carol. Please do not be offended; we are simply professionally responsible for ensuring the proposed intervention is in your best interests and no psychological concerns would make surgery inappropriate.
