Ken has been on the GMC specialist register and working as a consultant plastic surgeon since 2002. He undertakes complex reconstructive surgical procedures in the NHS and receives referrals from all over the UK. His specialist interests in the NHS are ear reconstruction and fat redistribution.
In private practice Ken undertakes aesthetic plastic surgery including facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty and otoplasty. He utilises his experience in breast augmentation, uplift and reduction surgery as well as tummy tucks and liposuction. He sings incredibly badly when operating but fortunately tries to stop himself when the patient is awake.
He is regularly invited to lecture both in the UK internationally most recently in Beijing, China. He has authored or co-authored many papers in the Journal of Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. Recent works have included papers on breast reduction, abdominoplasty, otoplasty, fat transfer and liposuction.
Ken is a full member of BAPRAS, BAAPS and most recently was invited to join the prestigious European Association of Plastic Surgeons.
He has only ever managed to procure one wife who tolerates his bad habits with great fortitude. Reluctantly she produced four sons who Ken now regularly tries to drown whilst he incompetently capsizes his sail boat. He coaches mini-rugby, despite a total absence of talent in that arena and runs marathons usually finishing at least an hour behind Patrick Addison. Most of all he has fun.
