Botox Non-surgical Rejuvenation
What are the risks?

Botulinum toxin is used in very small doses and, if carefully administered by an expert, it has a low risk of complications. As with any injection, there is a small risk of bruising and swelling. If injected in the wrong place, or if it leaks down to another area, it may cause temporary paralysis of muscles which were not intended to be paralysed, such as the muscles that elevate the upper eyelid, causing a droop of the eyelid.

If you have a pre-existing neurological disease, you should inform your surgeon before considering this treatment. Although there is no proven risk in pregnancy, it is best not to consider treatment if there is a chance you may be pregnant.
